The Origin Story: From Fabric to Folders

My bookkeeping journey kicked off in 1996 when my husband and I opened an automotive upholstery business. These days, my son runs the shop, but I’m still the one behind the spreadsheets. He gets the official "Family Discount," which is mostly paid in hugs and the occasional "Thanks, Mom!"—but hey, at least the ROI is high on sentiment.

The Educational Scenic Route
Over the last 30 years, I’ve collected certifications like people collect sourdough starters. I’ve dipped my toes into:

Business Administration (The "How to Adult" degree)

Real Estate Brokerage (I can sell the house, but I’d rather audit the kitchen)

Computer Science (I speak fluent "Robot")

I love feeding my brain, but after all that wandering, I’ve realized I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be: buried in your receipts.

Why I Do It (Hint: I’m Fun at Parties)
I’m a Type A, borderline-obsessive perfectionist. While some people relax with yoga, I relax by making sure every single cent is accounted for and every digital folder is perfectly aligned. If a penny is missing, I will find it. It’s not a hobby; it’s a calling.
